About Patient Lee
I won't tell if you don't.
I finally did it. I quit my day job. After twenty-five years of teaching high school French and Spanish, I left. I don't have another job lined up yet, but I don't have to go to the place that made me miserable for so long. I have many skills, and I know I'll find something, but right now, life is weird.
I'm married with three kids, 16, 14, and 11. We spend most of our time driving to hockey rinks.
My ideas come from a variety of sources-- an overheard sentence (a student declaring "I have tasty fingers!" in the middle of class became "The Side Effect."), a song, an announcement ("Come with a friend and save two dollars!"). I select the kink for the story based on what best works with the characters, which is the main reason I write with variety. The other, of course, is my short attention span caused by raising children and teaching high school. My stories often deal with non-traditional romancethemes- depression, bullying, environmental issues, natural disasters- but in a manner that leaves the reader uplifted, hopeful, and satisfied.
When I started to write in 2011, I never thought awards would be in my future. My greatest surprise came in 2014, when I won the Literotica Valentine's Day contest for Mrs. Maitland's SAD Valentine, a story about a lonely high school biology teacher and a depressed school janitor. Mrs. Maitland's reptiles improve her young lover's Seasonal Affective Disorder and bring them together in love. My husband's and my own experiences with depression and SAD were the inspiration for this story.
My next success came in the Literotica FAWC 4. The challenge was to write a story based on one of four songs, selected by Slyc_Willie (aka Gabriel Daemon, may he rest in peace). The result was my novella, Gay Greenhorn on the F/V Lost Agnes, based on the song Midnight Train to Georgia, by Gladys Knight and the Pips. I won first place!
My story Blowjob from Your Stalker (Now Steve Has a Stalker) was nominated for the March, 2015 Monthly Contest at Literotica as well. I also won the 2015 Reader's Choice Award at Literotica for Come on Down, which you can find in the collection OUT: Five Erotic Stories of Gay Self Discovery.
I sincerely hope you'll find something that suits your taste in erotica.
